The world loses something whenever a person’s ability never finds an outlet. A question goes unasked, a discovery remains out of reach, a company is never built. We want to build an institution that gives more people the freedom, support, and sense of possibility to pursue work that could matter.
AI makes that ambition more urgent. As the tools for creating and discovering become more powerful, we want the knowledge and resources around them to reach much further. Our aim is for more people to help determine what comes next, and to share in the value they create.

An idea can need very different kinds of support as it develops. At one stage, the missing thing is exposure to a new field; at another, it is a collaborator, a place to work, or the resources to keep going. We want the institute to be useful across that journey, with the judgment and capacity to respond to what promising work actually needs.
Partner support will help build that capacity: people who can teach and guide, knowledge that remains open, environments where ideas can be tested, and funding that gives difficult work room to develop. We want those foundations to endure, so that each generation can build on what the last made possible.
